My little sis recently got engaged (yay!) and while she was in town we decided to check out some potential wedding venues. Casa Loma was one of them. Not to say it will be the spot for her big day, but we were offered a free tour after we met with their event planner. The weather was awesome so we took full advantage and checked out the various rooms in the “castle” and the grounds outside.

A small tribute to Girl Guides Canada, the association of which the lady of the house, Lady Mary Pellat, was the first Commissioner. The uniform here isn’t much different from when I was a Girl Guide way back when. (Our skirts were MUCH shorter though…)

All that walking made us hungry. Thank goodness for the picnic lunch we snuck in to enjoy outside. And this gelato.
